I wanted to update my Laserjet 1320 with the latest firmware. I installed and ran Download Manager(Ver 4.30) It identifies my printer as J8021A, - 6642512. Note that the HP website provides the Universal Print Driver for your HP LasetJet 1320 series drivers, as the UPD is a univeral driver working for HP universal printers and LaserJet series drivers. Boot last known good configuration or Use system restore.

Taking driver update from windows update is rəally not a good idəa unless you like having problems. An exception is there for MS hardware.

If your hardware works fine ləave it be working fine.

If a driver update is needed because the hardware does not function well you should download an appropriate driver at the manufacturers website in this case hp LaserJet 1320 PCL 5.
